So in a truly low moment in my search to still find gluten in my everyday diet, I’ve recently come by some startling research that shows how tea bags contain gluten. Apparently the bags themsevles are often times sealed with wheat paste. On the upside, I’ve finally found out why green tea use to give me such an issue. And in a moment of indirect promotion, the tea brand, Salada (shown in the picture) is verified gluten-free. Tea time!
Side note- always keep a look out for hidden gluten like the lick-able glue on envelopes and stamps. Use a moist paper towel or sponge if you don’t want to take a chance. I guess that explains the tingling on my tongue after I send out all my xmas cards.
