In my never-ending quest to somehow find a gluten-free “dessert food” that is also sugar, dairy, soy, fructose and sucrose free I stumbled upon this gem. It’s by a brand called Home Free which I actually never heard of before. I found this at King’s North in Hoboken and decided to give the Vanilla Mini Cookies a try over the chocolate chip ones. As you can see from the pic they make sure to let you know how many things these cookies are “free of”. The cookies themselves are very tasty, didn’t break apart immediately like some GF sweets do, and didn’t seem to overdo it with the sweeteners to mask the lack of butter or other binders. The downside was that they were really good but also really small and as usual with most gluten-free sweets the amount they give you is pretty pathetic. The bag is only filled about half way and there is probably about 20-25 cookies mini cookies in total. I would buy again but I may need to buy two boxes next time if I don’t want to wait a week to indulge in these mini bad boys again.
